FIRST ON MARS, the two-year-old five piece, rock/emo/pop-punk band, from Philadelphia has played venues such as The Fire, The Grape Street Pub, Villanova University, The First Unitarian Church, The TLA, Club HP, etc with recent crowds between 70 and 200 people. They have had three songs on local radio stations such as 94.1 WYSP (The Rock Station) and Y100 (Modern Rock) in the past seven months. FIRST ON MARS has placed first and second at battles of the bands at The Music Training Center and The TLA, winning both recording time and money prizes. FIRST ON MARS is developing a very passionate fan-base around Philadelphia, which is expanding through street team work in Pittsburgh.
FIRST ON MARS has developed their own unique sound that has spawned from bands such as Green Day, Taking Back Sunday, Senses Fail, and Punchline. Their songs are filled with heartfelt lyrics, driving rhythms, and catchy hooks and melodies that have to come together to develop a sound that pulls you in and doesn’t let go.
