Versus the Cube is a band that blends hard rock, ambience, sound effects and clever melodies into a unique sound that is their own. The five members that form the group Ryan Sherwood(guitar), Charlie Griffin(guitar/keyboard), Jon Babcock(bass), Phil Herring(Drums), and Frank McKnight(vocals) each bring their own style and influence to the band’s music and live performance. The band has played numerous gigs up and down the coast of New Jersey from Wildwood to Asbury Park. Some of the venues Versus the Cube has played are the Ocean City Music Pier, The Quarterdeck and The Stone Pony. At all times Versus the Cube has upcoming shows as they continue to build a growing a fan base. Versus the Cube’s music can be heard in a number of ways. Over the internet, vs3’s songs can be downloaded at versusthecube.com or purevolume.com. In addition, Versus the Cube receives steady airplay at EaracheFM.com, an all original internet radio station. The band has also received airplay on Stockton College radio in Pomona NJ. And, finally, after months of delay, Versus the Cube released a self titled EP in June and sell the CD at gigs, numerous local stores and out of their cars if necessary. In addition to creating music the band is highly involved in merchandising. To satisfy the hunger of the fans, Versus the Cube is always working on providing new products with the Versus the Cube name on it. The band has had numerous different types of shirts and new ones are on the way. Also coming soon are hats, matchbooks, shot glasses, more stickers, window clings… Versus the Cube has also anchored the soundtrack to the surf DVD TVSIII: The Infection.
