Back in 2002, the members of Myth saw the need for restructuring. Bassist Aaron Thomas (aka Alien) and drummer Paul (Zeus) Zouzias saw the need for a band who does not define themself by what's popular at the moment. With the two former guitarist exiting the picture, Mr. Howard Paul Ross was soon enlisted to fill the void. This trio then locked themselves up in a nasty, hot, disgustingly small practice space on Cleveland Ohio’s near westside and began tightening the compositions and re-defining their sound, all the while searching for a vocalist who could actually sing in key, and had the ability to command an audience. Finally in December of 2002 Tj Rawx stepped into the picture. Together they deliberately set out to write meaningful songs with thought-provoking lyrics and good hooks. Add to this a stage show in which those ideas are brought to fruition with mind blowing energy, and you have Hydra.
