As they slowly become nationally recognized, Northeast Ohio’s hard-rocking band Three Miles Out remains regionally adored, as they have continued to work hard at honing their performance skills and growing their fan base. That fan base has waited over two years for the band’s next release, and they surely won’t be disappointed with the direction producer Lawrence Gelburd has taken them in. TMO’s trademark guitar-driven modern rock sound is still there, but the hooks are bigger than ever and the band’s songwriting continues to mature into something special.

The past year presented TMO several opportunities to perform in front of large groups of potential fans. Highlights have included several shows at Cleveland Browns Stadium and at Gund Arena, for Browns and Cavaliers pre-game festivities that were broadcast live on WUAB 19&43. TMO also performed in front of several thousand people at the July 4 Rock & Boom at Voinovich Park in Cleveland, and was a finalist for the Budweiser True Music Competition. They showcased at the Midpoint Music Festival in Cincinnati and the Nashville New Music Conference, and opened for 3 Doors Down at Tower City Amphtitheater.

But these guys never seem to get tired. TMO’s work ethic won’t let them as they continue to work up a sweat playing the club circuit each and every weekend locally and regionally. There’s no gimmicks, no flash—just a tight rock band whose motto is “Fun with a capital ‘F’.” As a result, TMO has seen their fan base grow from an average of five per show to five hundred in a few short years with a sound that is equal parts Fuel, Eve 6, and Good Charlotte. In addition to all of the shows, songs from both of their previous releases (TMO in 2000 and That’s Life in 2001) have consistently charted on regional radio.

TMO has also showcased for BMG Records in New York and at the EAT’M conference in Las Vegas. But always remembering to give back to the community that supports them, this band has donated their time and talent for such charities as M.A.D.D., Great American Picnic, Breast Cancer, Suicide Prevention Awareness, Townhall II and The Center of Hope/Christian Cupboard.

Through it all, Three Miles Out is just a group of good guys--guys who happen to write songs with soaring guitars, catchy melodies, sweet harmonies and hooks the size of Ohio. They continue to pound the pavement in the Midwest, and music fans everywhere continue to find out that this is not your average garage band.
