We pay tribute our way to 70's hard rock acts as Black Sabbath, Jimi Hendrix, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin and to more recent bands in the like of Corrosion of Conformity, Black Label Society and Monster Magnet.
The Story So Far...
The band was created in summer 2002 with two rockers of heart and soul. Oli at the voices and guitars had already recorded some material and Stass who would have never bet anything on drumming more than 2 weeks. At his own astonishment he stayed 4 years.
During a short period, the young duet only see itself as a tribute band with Black Sabbath, Motorhead and White Zombie's covers. That's why they first wanted to call the project Thunderkiss, according to this latest nineties band. They finally prefered to pay a more powerful tribute to the bands that gave them bang their heads in doing their own songs.
First important leap, Gog of Magog recorded a first demo in november 2004 as a trio with bassist Alexander Charles Elie Nelson on good old tapes in the famous André Gielen's Hautregard Studio (Lofofora, Mass Hysteria, Channel Zero etc.)
In march 2005, Stass announces his will of moving to Quebec. A little less than one year later, the band has finally found a really good new drummer in Pierre-E. Marechal and played a few shows. They're now getting forward with new material and plan to record other songs in late 2007.
