Solidblue, a little band from Greenfield NY composed of four long time friends is a band whos music has often been known to have more heart,more passion,and more truth than their other local counterparts. While devoted to writing music that reflects their beliefs in Christian ideals, they have also stepped out of their lyrical territory to bring you songs that are more personal and darker at times, in attempts to tell their listeners who they are and what real life feels like. A lot of Christian music stopped identifying with kids, and everything has become a formula that those artists follow to satisfy their callings. But Solidblue stepped out of that scene by touching subjects like Suicide,Pain,Heartache,and Divorce all while offering a message of Redemption through self-realization. Their music is all about being real, with yourself and with God.
With several independant releases under their belt including 2004's "A Simple Tragedy" and their 2005 Split EP with artist Jimmy Roman, the band has had 4 singles on modern rock radio stations such as 102.7's EQX and Channel 103.1FM. In support of their latest single "Waiting for Anything" recorded with C.R.Pendleton (John Reuben,Spoken), the band has played vigorously around the east coast, garnering fans from all over, and slowly and surely building a solid fanbase. Theyre hoping to release their first full lenght album early winter.
