Biography Stuart O’ Malley & The Whiskey Gullivers

It were those late autumn days of November 2005, when 3 guys and one girl decided to start a new band. Those people better known as: Edmon, Stef, Manda and Flip started with playing some songs of Flip and Stef’s old band called Acid Drop, but also played some Irish traditional pub ballads. So it was soon obvious that the band would play Punk with some Irish folk influences and later on, even some ska. But Stef, whom was busy with some other great bands, had some sad news to tell us. He was leaving the band as a member. It was in this very moment a new, mysterious lad took up the drumsticks and gave the band the rhythms as you all know it now. A guy with a name of great expectation, and we’re sure he will fulfil them one, no it was nobody less than Amadeüs him self. We began writing and finishing songs of our one like Home Sweet Holland and Billy O’Brian. But we all felt, anything was missing. So after some talking with Jessica we gave her a tin whistle, and we were able to create a really acceptable folk punk sound. But then Manda needed some time out, and stepped out of the band for a while. And in that time we decided we should continue with the four of us. Of course never forgetting the great time we had with Manda playing in the band. So we continued writing songs ones more, played some gigs, and we contacted the one and only mister David Gonzalez, and his Gonzo studio. The place where we recorded our first demo CD “Home Sweet Holland”, and it was far beyond our naughtiest dreams what this lad made of it. Also Stef got his revenge on the band, and the band got his revenge on Stef, for he took the Mic at “the riot police” for a, well let’s put it this way; an unforgettable guest vocal. Again thanks for that pal. So now we’re here playing some more gigs and again writing some songs. So you’ll all here a lot more of us, and remember whatever may happen. Keep on Dancing, Making Music & Drinking Rum

Cheers, Stuart O’Malley & The Whiskey Gullivers
