Beautiful Lies brings an interesting mix of alternative, indie, and pop to the table of rock. Formed by the brothers Nick and Zach McLean, Alex Rossiter and Dave Widaman, the band has placed a special importance on their energetic live shows. Anything can happen at a Beautiful Lies show, as far as sing-alongs, cowbells, and moustaches are concerned, and the band strives to ensure that their fans get the best show possible. Performances have been both acoustic and electric and have taken place at venues such as The Paradise Rock Club, The Middle East, T.T. the Bear's, Bill's Bar, and Great Scott.
Last fall, the band released an independent acoustic EP, which was made available at these shows and through CDBaby, iTunes and various internet retailers. Each of the first 100 copies came with a limited edition artwork made by the band. The band is active with their online community, making video promos for each of their shows, and posting weekly blogs to update their widespread audience.
