Asthenia -virallinen sivu, genre: Gothic Metal

Asthenia is a Dutch symphonic gothic-metal band with young members, but with already quite a lot expierence on stage. Asthenia has grown from a schoolband playing simple covers, to a band with a very own style of music and compositions of their own. Plans for the recording of a demo have already been made.

The band was founded in 2004 by Fieke, keyboardist of Asthenia, as some sort of schoolband named Noxious Phenomenons. The band counted 6 members at that moment already, including Bart and Frans. The repertory consisted of some easy and cliché coversongs. They had some small gigs, like on an exam party and at the local music school.

It was already clear at this moment, that they wanted to play in the genre of symphonic-metal and gothic-metal. With the coming of the new singer, Fenna, this could be realized. Short after that, guitar player and grunter Michiel made Asthenia's line-up complete.

Asthenia started writing songs, still playing cover songs from other symphonic-metal bands, while having some gigs in the meantime too. The gigs have led to a nice stage-performance and a reputation.

Rightnow Asthenia is finishing some last songs, because the plans for a first Demo CD have been made.
