The Sketnicks are born, a band with funny punk songs. Tim, Maikel and Niels soon join the band. For two years they play a lot of gigs with bands like For The Alliance and It Takes Two.
Niels decides to leave the band in the spring of 2005. The rest of the band continues and According To You is formed.
The punk songs change in to hard emotional rock. Screamo, emo or post-hardcore are terms where According To You can be characterized with.
In February 2006 they play their first gig and right on they start to build a fanbase.
Meanwhile According To You records their debute EP, In Silence We Close Our Eyes, in collaboration with Hubrecht Eversdijk and Laurens Troost from creative collective Intheshade.
