It was the year 2005 when the singer Mirko Benedetti and the bassist Cek were introduced by a mutual friend. The same taste for the music and several occasions to talk about it, took part in the future to create the band.
At the same while, the drummer Alessandro Bassetto featuring Mirko created another band, The Flaps, keeping up an old group in which they played together some years before.
Cek working with other bands of the city, was maintaining contact with Mirko and the other guitarist of The Flaps, Tommaso Casarin.
For different reasons Cek was at daggers drawn with The Flaps’ Bassist even so Mirko and Alessandro started to think about a possible new band with different style, newer and renovated.
The Flaps disbanded in the summer of 2007 and the adventure of GingerBread Men could start.
Assuming a lot of different tunes the GingerBread Men take part nowadays in the introduction of Indie Rock in Italy being one of the first “indie” band of the country.
