What would become the Tariots first formed in 2005, when Robert and Sam began playing together at Sam's house. By early 2006, Kevin had joined the band, and the trio began writing songs and playing at a few local shows, playing covers and a few originals. A few more lineup changes resulted in Mattias becoming the band's second guitar player.

The band has built a sizable local following on the strength of their live concerts and their recordings "Lose My Mind" and "Overtime," available for listening at http://myspace.com/thetariots, along with upcoming concert dates.
