The Resting Place of Illusion"(Replosion) start in the year 2000...But it was just an "idea"...till 2006,when the band was complete. The brothers Mike and Gian (drums and guitar) after several metal bands, tried to reach their own musical personality. The sound was influenced by progressive (mostly from the '70) and power metal, but also by Latin/Spanish music, some funky-stuff and thrash riffs. We found-it hard to mix these influences with our first and never-ending musical love, that is, Queen…The composing-experiments we did were , as you can easily imagine "everything and nothing" at the same time. When Fil from Bologna decided to join the band we spontaneously began to compose with more "order" and found our singer. We just had the same musical background, that is Queen and prog-power metal. Trough the years we have known each other in both the musical and human aspects, and that made us come-out with a few songs… Some of those are also included in our demo. We spent so much time to find the other two guys to complete the band, and in the year 2004/2005 finally we got-them! Simo joined the band playing the bass, in a troubled time with the keyboard player. Simo showed great patience and constancy till Gabriele (new keyboard player) arrived about one year later, at the end of 2005.
During the last year the band has performed a few gig promoting the first Demo, that you can hear on MySpace and on the official web-site (replosion.com).
