What if Woody Guthrie heard the Sex Pistols and thought they sounded cool? This is how some have described MediaCrime. The band started out as an on again - off again project of guitarist/songwriter Eddie Havoc and drummer John Mazza. Harry Strole helped resurrect the band in 1997 when he was added on guitar and joined in the songwriting duties. In 2006, then bass player Wayne Lynch got the band involved with Emergenza and after advancing into the third round Lynch decided to move on.
This time around , new bass player Billy Gluckin has helped solidify the compositions by Havoc and Strole and forms a solid rhythm section with Mazza that hopes to go to the finals this time in NYC and beyond.
