You have participated in the Emergenza festival edition 2013/2014. What made you decide to take part in it?

Actually it was the poor opportunities we have here in spain to play and show our music. Before the crisis started, it was already difficult for a band to get a change to play or to promote their music. But when the crisis hit here.... lets say that our government increased the cultural-tax from a 7 to a 21%, you can imagine what happened here...

As you approach the world final, What is your state of mind?

We are thrilled to play in the Taubertal-Festival and show our music in a different country. We are definitely exited, but at the same time calmed because we have confidence in our music.

Where specifically have you improved the most since your very first Emergenza concert?

Our live sound has definitely improved, all the instruments complement each other better, we have more confident in what we do and we enjoy playing in front of people

What's behind your band's name? Any specific meaning?

Guesstimate is an estimate calculated mainly by guesswork, we think that music is sometimes that... Music is very accurate and mathematical, but a sound or note can take you to a different path, starting to estimate the sound path by guesswork. 

If you had to choose a famous song that represents your band...which one would it be?

Anyone of Talking Heads would be appropriate, Road to nowhere is one of our favorite. 

What is that makes your sound signature?

I think our love for synthesizers and electronic music, combined with brit-pop from the 90's 

What can audiences expect from one of your live performances?

We think that a solid show with good music

Can you tell us a funny story or anecdote about your experience on stage?

Well, we had a few technical problems in a Show we did for Emergenza at Pueblo Español... We had problems with the stage speakers, we couldn't listen what we were playing... But we won that contest... We still don't know how...

Before you go on stage, do you have a ritual or a good luck charm that goes everywhere with you?

Not really, but maybe we have to start to do something for the Taubertal-festiva... Perhaps drink some good german beer...

What’s your rehearsal and recording space like?

It's a small 20mx20m room we share with other 3 bands, an affordable room full of toys we play with.. 

What do you guys do when you’re not playing music? Do you still hang out together?

Lucas and Alex know each other for almost 6 years, and sometimes they hang out together, but we have been focus our friendship around the music, and that's what we do.

What’s your dream gig?

We think playing in a stage like Music Hall in New York....or Terminal 5... Or any big Festival like Primavera Sound (Barcelona) or Coatchella...

What  are your short to medium term plans after the international final?

In a short period, do more live shows and try to be more visible..

Why do you think you deserte to win the 2014 Festival edition?

We don't know if we deserved or not, but it would be amazing winning it.
