Metropolis was born in 2002 as "Exumatar" in Paris, France. First of all, the band was composed of Guillaume Quincy (Durms), Nathan Luye (Guitar), Arthur Leparc (Bass guitar, Vocals), and also Antoine Menard as second guitar player. But in June 2004, The band decided to continue without Antoine and became a three pieces band. In 2006, Metropolis has released their first demo CD called "What A Funny Genocide!" that gave a pretty good vision of what the band''s sound looks like, even with the crappiest sound ever! It was also the time when the band started to give their first shows in some bar or even in the street. In 2007 The band released their second demo, which this time was recorded in good conditions and with a large helping on backing vocals performed by Florent Orsini. That new demo gave to Metropolis the opportunity to follow a new musical path that sounds more and more mature, serious and technically better. Then after a long break in 2008, because of Arthur''s studies in USA, Metropolis got back together, including now Florent Orsini as the brand new vocalist in the band! Metropolis became a four members band again and is currently working on giving some good performances, hopefully at the begining of 2009.
