M.I.N.D is a progressive metal band founded by the lead guitarist Andreia Gomez. It’s known its current line-up since July 2009 when Jason Palmer joined the band on bass. Only a month before the band had put together a homemade demo of original compositions, featuring Daniel Gomez on Vocals, Erim Ahmet on Keyboards, James Murphy on Drums and at the time Daniel Seddon on bass. With influences from 70’s prog, world music, fusion and metal, the result was an epic yet aggressive sound. Intricate rhythms, large instrumental sections and heavy choruses are characteristic of M.I.N.D’s music; the vocals, at times raw others melodic, complement the music and create its unique soundscape. The meaningful lyrics depict a philosophy based on a deep respect for life and a quest for understanding its meaning. The belief that the answer lies within the nature of human conscience is expressed not only through the music and lyrics but also artwork and video; aiming at a stage production that will spread the message to whoever is willing to receive it…
