Starting as a school band in 1998 the EMPTYCANS made their way to one of the most unsuccsessful bands in Austria. Playing roughly less than twelve concerts in eight years they're now up for some serious business. Although ANDI (BIG like "BASS", not to be confused with andi, like "Drums") joined the band in spring 2004 things went even worse from then. Struggling with more than just their own laziness the EMPTYCANS finally managed to produce something they by them self refer to as "Self-recorded-Bootlegs" with little to no succsess.

After years of playing arabesque-punk and highly potential non-profit rock-music they suddenly found themselves caught in an unearthly attraction to music serious bands only care for one album, if it promises to make a shit load of money on MTV:

Yeah, UNPLUGGED, with screaming guitars, fat basses and a drum kit made in hell, the EMPTYCANS for the first time made their way into the hearts of their moms and grannies. The girls were to follow. Suddenly drinking at rehearsals and recordings became a necessity. During that time the most obvious source of inspiration and studio equipment became the bands name, which opened up even more possibilities for the daughters and granddaughters to listen a little closer.

After that phenomenal outburst of creativity the EMPTYCANS soon regained their old lazy habit of drinking beer without any inspiration or outcome. But help was on the way! The EMPYTCANS got the chance of making a record with a not so unsuccsessful musician! But staying true to their nature the EMPTYCANS finally fucked it up.

Being straight at the bottom of their not even yet started career and at the end of their wits, the EMPTYCANS tried to regain their strenght by plotting against each other. But at the verge of war the gods (and obviously the EMPTYCANS) had mercy with the "band thing" and decided to give it another chance.
