    HLAVNÍ PŘÍSPĔVKY
The five piece hard-rock band Mitzi Turbo hails from Clondalkin in Dublin, Ireland. Having spent their teenage years playing together in different combinations and bands, the roots of Mitzi Turbo lie in a number of humble performances at a local open-mic night in late 2008. In the summer of 2009 the current line-up jammed together for the first time to the then half-written “Burnin’ Daylight” and realised that there was something beneath the surface worth scratching at. The remainder of 2009 was then spent writing and developing the distinctive Mitzi sound.

Disillusioned, and frankly pissed-off with the production-line state of modern commercial “music”, the interests of the band members shifted towards more radical ends of the musical spectrum. As a result, Black Sabbath, Down, Queens of the Stone Age and Guns N’ Roses are but a few of the diverse bands that have bared direct influences on the style of the individual members.

The band’s music is the result of the convergence of different musical tendencies, underpinned simply by the urge to play uncompromised rock n’ roll the way it should be played. By incorporating elements of blues, metal, grunge and old-school hard rock into their own musical vision, the band have created a sound that effortlessly transcends many sub-genres - breaking free from the generic monotony that marks much of today’s commercial rock scene. The different musical backgrounds of the members have helped to create a sound that is often heavy and aggressive, but heedful to the catchy melodies and lyrics that have made some of Rocks most memorable songs so appealing.

With their energetic live shows, unique brand of rock n’ roll and rapidly expanding fan base the band are making their presence felt on the Dublin scene. The first demo, consisting of three originals tracks - and a Black Sabbath cover for good measure - was recorded in Dublin’s Elektra studio in the summer of 2010. Since its release in early September 2010 it has stirred excitement in many of those who have heard it, drawing them to the bands live shows. The aim of the band for 2011 is to expose their music to the masses and to put the balls back into rock n’ roll.

    WHAT PEOPLE SAID ...

“...A strong, memorable, and unquestionably solid live act, Clondalkin five-piece Mitzi Turbo present to their audience a thrilling mixture of ferocious riffs and soaring vocals. But it’s their ability to write a cracking chorus that really stands out. These guys may wear their influences on their sleeves, but it's what they do with them that makes all the difference...”

“...Mitzi Turbo fuse the best of Blues, Metal, Grunge and Hard-Rock into one and play uncompromised rock n roll the way it should be played...”

“...Bridging the gap between metal and hard rock...”
