Sanguine Glacialis is a Melodic Death Metal band with various influences. Hailing in Montreal, Quebec, the band was born in late 2010, when the air was so cold that it froze your blood… exactly where the name comes from. With one singer (Jessica Guarda), two guitarists (Simon Coutu and Samuel Chourot), a bassist (Mikaïl Standjofski-Figols), a keyboardist (Maude Théberge) and a drummer (Pascale Phaneuf), the band uses the sound of various musical styles to create a maelstrom of captivating music.

At first being with 7 members (a saxophonist), the band changed its dynamics over the course of time. In February 2011, the band faced Françis’ departure, the old keyboardist and Maude’s arrival in the band. After their first show, the April 15th 2011, Antoine, the saxophonist, left the band that decided to continue without a saxophone player. A little after his departure, Aurélie, the old singer, took a different path, and the band met Jessica, who became the vocalist for the band.

Sanguine Glacialis is a band that experiments with multiple musical styles, such as jazz, classical, folkloric music, latin music… while keeping a very strong melodic death metal accent. The result gives birth to intense, captivating and “headbangnable” songs. So, if you like intense but melodic music, where you can find as much emotions as notes, come and dance La Valse Des Condamnées!
