Schwerer Traum wurde im Jahr 1993 in Hamburg gegründet. In der aktuellen Besetzung spielt die Band seit 1999 und hat sich auf der Ebene des progressiven Metals einen interessanten und abwechlungsreichen Stil erarbeitet, der von kreativen Riffs sowie unvorhersehbaren Breaks geprägt ist. Die Variationen aus wütenden Shouts und sowohl impulsivem als auch gefühlvollem Gesang verleihen den Songs einen absolut individuellen Charakter.
Aufnahmen und Produktionen finden im Loktown Studio Hamburg in Eigenregie und in Zusammenarbeit mit langjährig befreundeten Tontechnikern statt.

Schwerer Traum was founded in 1993 in Hamburg - Germany. The current band members have been playing together since 1999 and have developed an interesting style of progressive metal which is marked by creative riffs and unpredictable breaks. Variations of angry shouts and both impulsive and soulful vocals give the songs an individual expression.
The band works on their recordings and productions at Loktown Studio Hamburg.
