With influences ranging from Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, P-Funk, The Rolling Stones, Beck, Ween, The Beastie Boys, and The Flaming Lips, their debut album on Hometown Records (originally released under their former name Barefoot) showcases elements of soul, rock, funk, pop, psychadelic and even trace elements of hip hop while maintaining a cohesive flow and sound that is solely Wino Riot. Wino Riot's members are veterans of the Pittsburgh music scene and each brings a unique individual style that compliments the music perfectly. Martinka, Kulbacki, and Fitzsimmons are the chief songwriters and Barton, Belliconish, and Michaels play important roles in adding instrumental breakdowns and changes and ideas for vocal arrangements. Their goal is to make music that challenges normal everyday formulated rock music, opting instead to present fresh and exciting ideas that are designed to change the way listeners think about the current state of music.
