    À LA UNE
All things considered, 2009 has been a pretty good year for Burning Brooklyn.

Since coming together in October of ‘08, they’ve wasted no time ticking all the boxes of a successful unsigned act.

Before releasing their debut EP, Burning Brooklyn saw their first single Half Past Easy played regularly on Triple J’s "Short Fast Loud." Now that the EP, Where the Heart Stops has dropped, radio play has extended to the Js "Home and Hosed" and Triple M Sydney.

The band has also had the pleasure of sharing the stage with international acts like Haste the Day (USA), Blessed by a Broken Heart (CAN) and Fear Before (USA) – all before their first birthday.

Influenced by bands like Taking Back Sunday, Anberlin and Saosin, Burning Brooklyn’s sound combines the guts of great rock music with catchy melodies, a recipe that has proved successful with a range of gig-goers. They’ve quickly been branded with a reputation for one of the tightest and most dynamic live shows the local scene has to offer.

Far from resting on their laurels, the band have just completed a 17 date tour of the east coast and are now hitting the studio again to release their brand new single, in May 2010 - so get excited!
