Formed in October 2004, Orin is the brain child of DJ Masamune. Tired of simply playing other peoples music, DJ Masamune wanted more. Being a fan of metal, punk, industrial, and dance music he sought a way to combine all of his influences. Enlisting Neoguido on synths, and Becki Head on lead vocals the foundation of the band began. While working on their first few songs they quickly realized that the band needed more to bridge the gap between the electronic and metal genres. Then they introduced guitarist Carlos Mejicanos to add a metal backbone to the band. Later, after Carlos had to leave the band, orin added Joshua Hawkins on guitar. Blending influences like Metalica, Prodigy, VNV Nation, Linkin Park, Radiohead, Paul Oakenfold, and Mudvayne, Orin is on the cusp of dance music and metal fusion
