    À LA UNE
Like a FLY KICK TO THE FACE the Funky Scum Rumor have left marks on people's lives... whether they liked it or not. This four-piece musical BICEP came about in mid 2005 under the name "The Pedestrians" for a school competition which they won playing a cover of Silverchair's debut hit "Tomorrow".
After this fantastic event (from which a cellophane-wrapped bag of lollies was earned), the band decided to continue and expand in it's musical endeavors. After having changed their name to The Funky Scum Rumor, the band built up a mighty set list of covers by bands such as Muse, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters and more...
After many a month of prowling the local music scene, and many attempts to write songs (most of which never making it past one jam) the band finally came-to and worked on their first original, Josh's Song 1. Gigs were played and the song grew up to become a "real song"... so the band did it again, this time with Josh's Song 2.
Eventually, the band had 4 strong originals which were recorded on a CD titled "The Funky Scum Demo", featuring hand-drawn pictures of cacti, smiley faces and the like.
The CD contains 4 memorable tracks: "Stumble" (previously Josh's Song 2), "Twiddley Diddley Bang Bang", "High Tech Eyes" (previously Josh's Song 1), and "Sugarbrains".
In more recent times the band has written an entire set list of originals and will continue to write more, whilst scraping at the very dregs in the bottom of the big cauldron of Adelaide's music scene.

Luke Marsh - Guitar, Backing Vocals.
