    Formerly called Federal Nuthouse (myspace.com/federalnuthouse), Blue Dog was formed in 2008 as a way for 4 mid-twenties slackers to get free beer. Guitarists Ryan Fox and Scott Rohan met each other in college where they played in a band called the Ninja Party Lounge Band, also geared toward getting free beer. John Rohan comes from a punk rock background, as the first of a long line of bassists (7) for the LI punk band The Insurgent. Him and his brother Scott were looking to collaborate on a project for years before the Dog came around. Drummer Dan Blackburn, who is new to NY and has a ridiculously cool sounding name, comes from North Cackalacky where he played in the funk band Domestic Blend. With over 100 years of air-breathing experience between them, they're sure to funk your night up.
