The Written Prisms (also affectionately known as WPs and The Written P’s Crew) have received praise from a nearly impossible to please critic from the Baltimore based Music Monthly magazine. They’ve played with The Roots, Derek Trucks, The Pharcyde, Rahzel, Jepetto, Kelly Bell Band and Jimmie’s Chicken Shack. They’ve played the 10th Annual Field Day at Salisbury University, the Annapolis Music Festival, Eastport-A-Rockin’ Street Festival and recorded for 96 Rock in Ocean City. Absolutely none of these accomplishments matter. The only thing that matters is the music that they’ve created and the opportunity they need to share their message with the rest of the world. They only need your interest for one moment - the present - and they’ll fill that moment with some of the most meaningful music you quite possibly will ever be made a part of. You wouldn’t be here if you didn’t have a slight inclination that what’s being presented to you in our country’s mainstream media is polluted and impure. The Hip-Hop you need to exist is right here and waiting to be recognized as positive, as art and as truth. All you’ve got to do is be willing to be brave and open enough to embrace it.
