‘Empty Beauty’ from Heroes N’ Troubles
New EP ‘Empty Beauty’ from Heroes N’ Troubles chock full of aggressive yet catchy punk tunes
The new five-song EP from Parma band Heroes N’ Troubles is out now and it’s chock full of powerful, aggressive, yet catchy tunes. This Parma band spins their influences from 90’s hard rock, alternative metal and post-grunge into punk rock to come up with an impressive mix of aggressive vox and distorted guitars. The perfect summation of this is in the opening track “Just Wait”, whose edgy Offspring style guitar riff is a punch to the face, driven home by the pummeling of the percussion section. Super catchy despite its abrasiveness. The four original pieces on the album are capped off by a rather unexpected cover of Jeff Buckley’s “Hallelujah”, which they rearrange into an epic, hard rock crescendo where the vocals really shine. The EP was recorded live at Moonlight Studios in Parma. The line up of Heroes N’ Troubles includes Stefano Bolzoni on vocals and bass, Dimitri Iannoni and Luca Fanti on guitar, and Riccardo Moschetti on drums. Despite their relatively recent formation in 2011, Heroes N’ Troubles have already played shows at an impressive list of local venues and festivals, including a few spots in local papers, and they’re getting ready to hit the road for a mini-tour in The Netherlands. They just played a killer show at The Speakeasy in Milan for the first round of the Emergenza Festival Italia. Not only did they make it through the first round, but they swept the votes, coming in first and winning a guest spot at Latte + in Brescia. Check back in with us here at Emergenza.net for more new on our very own Heroes.
