Hot off the Press: 'Dust' EP

Emergenza gives a listen to the hard-rocking debut EP 'Dust' from Turin band From Hell to Breakfast

The name of this Turin band is an anglicism of the Italian expression for “to the ends of the earth”, and it seems that’s just where these young musicians are headed. In just the last year the young guys from the band From Hell to Breakfast, all between the ages of 16 to 19, have totally come into their own. They’ve gone from a cover band to, not only creating their own material, but actually laying it down on record. Just a year into the game From Hell to Breakfast has got a long list of live shows under their belts and even released an EP. Hot of the press the four-song EP, entitled Dust, shows the guys were definitely taking notes during their days of covering bands like the Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age. They use their standard rock setup of two guitars, bass, drums and vocals to create intricately stacked harmonic structures in their songs, managing to be simultaneously heavy and yet full of groove. Songs like “Anhedonia” are the perfect example of how the band tempers the hard and heavy with the more moody and melodic, taking notes from bands like Tool and A Perfect Circle, to create insane dynamics and make their songs just explode with energy. The EP was mixed and mastered by sound engineer Matteo Lorenzo Bongiovanni. You can stream the new EP on the band’s YouTube channel. From Hell to Breakfast just put on a killer show for the Emergenza Festival Italia finals at Hiroshima Mon Amour in Turin. Check out Emergenza.net for more info on the band.
