TOP STORIES
In the autumn of 2010, 8 young hooligans entered a high school talent contest under the (retrospectively not-terribly-well-thought-out) name General Pants & the Privates. They lost.

From this comprehensive failure, they learned two things - ska isn't cool, but it definitely isn't dead.

From that spontaneous combustion of raw adolescent energy was born the musical behemoth that is GP and-the-motherflippin P's. Always on the look-out for a chance to cause mischief, they've blasted out their undeniably catchy compositions in the venerable Factory Theatre, the ruddy fantastic Lair, the artsy fartsy National Art School, the Guinness-soaked Gaelic Club, and various backyards and homes of generous fans and benefactors.

Embracing the principle of 'if you want it done right, do it yourself', GP&TP self-produced their debut release, a split 7" with Adelaide band The Prophets Of Impending Doom, which is still available digitally for zero dollars!

And having only recently grasped the basic laws of supply and demand (supply fans with music or they won't like you) they self-released their debut EP 'Twirling Towards Freedom' to rabid acclaim. Pick one up at any one of their many upcoming shows!

So from here on out, the possibilities are endless for these young go-getters. Get in on the ground floor of this ska/way-of-life movement, before they take over the world!
