Genuine was formed when two bands from the south shore of montreal seperaded (Stample and Clover Leaf). Then, Chris from Clover join Karl, Max and Juice from Stample to formed Genuine.

There influence goes from a large ressources like punk rock from the 90's to metal from the 80's to hard rock from the 70's.
Genuine is a mixture of Face to Face/Strung Out meets Jimmy Eat World, The Used, with a touch of Iron Maiden and the philosophy of Bad, NOFX and Jane's Addiction.
