    TOP STORIES
BR is an up-and-coming hip-hop artist from Brooklyn, New York. BR (Beyond Recognition) has developed a cool, energetic and focused style that displays a lyrical versatility and maturity well beyond his 27 years. After working both with other groups and on his own since high school, BR put together Timebomb, a six-piece band, in 2003. For the past 4 years BR & Timebomb has performed at a number of venues in and around New York City, including Studio 54, The Village Underground, Union Square Park, and The Apollo Theater (not Amateur Night, they were a featured act along with The New Amsterdam Musical Association (NAMA) located in Harlem); in Brooklyn places such as The Five Spot and the Cornerstone Bar; and have ventured out of NYC to Hofstra University in L.I. and Oberlin College in Ohio. They have also teamed up with other bands in musical show cases, one of which is the five-piece band Onliest.
Timebomb features Matt Caranante (guitar), Olivia Martinez (viola/violin), Erika Walker (vocals), Jibrail Nor (drums), Shanelle D. Jenkins (trumpet) and Stacy Beatty Jr. (bass). These talented musicians are in their mid-twenties, and have experience with a wide range of musical styles. Timebomb combines R&B, reggae, funk, soul, jazz, classical and pop influences to create music that is strictly hip-hop. They are on a mission to put a new sound in Hip-Hop and to give people more variety.
