    TOPVERSLAGEN
Neil “Quog” Myhre and Mark Stewart met at a music trivia night and discovered after a few cleansing ales that they liked the same music. Quog was looking to start playing music again, however, he complained that drummers were hard to find. Mark, as a drummer, was looking for some musicians to hang around with; what a match!

They got together and jammed, soon abandoning other people’s music in favour of writing their own. They both knew Chris Watkins, who in a weak moment agreed to join them.

They wrote a number of songs but early on performed only one impromptu gig in Halley Park for friends. Shortly after that Quog moved up to Queensland for work purposes. Chris and Mark started again, enlisting the help of 2 new bank members. This line up performed several gigs before splitting up and going their own way.

Forward a few years and Quog was back in town; after a period of time the original trio got together to develop the sound further. At this point they had no bass player and none of them had any contacts who knew bass players; but Quog, using his rapier sharp mind, remembered that his son played bass and might be able to help out. So Gareth joined the band, and very quickly made his mark. This line completed the current Carpe Diem.
