EMERGENZA FESTIVAL: HOW IT WORKS
If you’ve got a band, you enjoy performing live and want to play the best venues in your town, you have every reason to participate in the Emergenza Festival - the biggest competition for up & coming bands in Europe and North America, a springboard for young musicians who are eager to present themselves, want to see how they measure up with other musicians, and enjoy playing for friends, fellow musicians, and scouters for some of the most important Major Recording Companies from around the world.
How does it work?
First off, you have to enrol either using the form you can find on this site, or by going down to the local sign-up point in your town. After registering, you will be invited to meet with one of our managers to talk about the festival, the 30-minute concert you will give, various aspects of his technical support, and the opportunities that the contest can give you. Your performance will be part of a concert night, along with other up & coming talents playing different kinds of music. Because this is a competition, you have the chance go on and play more concerts in the following rounds if the audience enjoys your performance. These concerts are held between January and June, according to the schedule in each town.
The best bands in all of the 14 participating countries will go on to the International final to be held in Rothenburg, Germany, in August 2004, playing in front of an excited and enthusiastic audience at the Taubertal Open Air Festival. Travel and accommodation expenses are of course covered by Emergenza. The winner of the International final will be rewarded with a dream tour - a promotional tour in the States in cooperation with Ernie Ball Music Man. But there are still loads of other incredible prizes for the other bands and musicians, as you can see for yourself in the FAQ article.
Got ya thinkin’? Does it seem only a dream? A goal just out of reach?
You are certainly right if you’re thinking that not all the bands can step in this glorious future. But then again, you just might be the winner. We assure you… you can reach these goals through hard work, developing your talent and creativity, enthusiasm and motivation, and most of all…by believing in yourself, that you can do it. Emergenza Festival wants to be the wind beneath your wings, and to create the conditions that will allow you play live on stage, so that you can be seen and heard by the audience but also by those who are always on the look-out for new talent.
Even if you play just one concert in the Emergenza Festival, your commitment will be rewarded. After registering, all bands receive Ernie Ball guitar and bass strings, Regal Trip drumsticks, and a Remo drumhead for snare.
See you soon at one of the Emergenza concerts!
