ALL THE WINNERS OF THE FINAL 2003
A few minutes after the awarding ceremony the excitement is still in the air. The attendance for this final event was electric, but most of the entire atmosphere was thus of a party, the same that characterized the whole final.
After three drunken days of amazing concerts, the audience and musicians were all there, with their eyes on the main stage of the Taubertal, waiting for the results, for the verdict of the jury, given immediately after the performance of Bologna’s DEAD BY CHOCOLATE, has closed the concerts of Emergenza.
There were a lot of prizes to win and the choice of the jury wasn’t easy at all. That’s why first of all we want to compliment all the musicians that played these three days.
And now, the winners of the final of Emergenza 2003:
- Masters of solid but incisive technique, Grant Sharkey from Toupé, the band from Southampton, and Laurent Duchez from Duke, have been considered the best bass players of the Final. They win an amplifier AMPEG BA115 and a bass Music Man Sterling.
- The wireless system of Sennheiser has been won by Francio John Laurent, singer of Jove, the band from London, who gave us chills and thrills with his interpretation and expressions.
- One amplifier Crate, prize for the best live arrangements, has been won by Toupé, that has shown a particular attention to details and an uncommon harmony between the instruments.
- Fresh and energic again the Toupé, that has given a great performance to the audience. They won the prize of Best Live Performance thanks to their impressive songs, their good presence on stage and the great synergy between the musicians has. They won a complete wireless system Sennheiser for guitar and bass.
- Best drummer of the Final is Reda Samba, from the Klem, from Paris. He wins a Mapex Top Deep Forest drum kit, for the groove and power and the perfect synergy with his band.
- 2 complete set of Sabian cymbals for the second and third best drummers, Adam Bailey, of Toupé and Andrea Ungheretti of No Radical change, from Livorno. Beside their technical capacities, they have been awarded for their attentive apport to the arrangements of the band.
- The guitar Music Man Axis sport has been won by Pierre Lasret, guitar player of the Duke from Bordeaux: his attentive research for sounds and harmonies reveals an original musicality and technique
- There are three other musicians that has been awarded as best guitar players: Mario Petraglia from the Dead by Chocolate of Bologne wins an amplifier CRATE, Andrei Starr from the Slave to the Squarewave, from Toronto, and Artur Gawron from the Sleepin Sun from Dortmund wins a guitar a OLP (Music Man).
