“Until the sweat drips from the ceiling” That is the golden rule for KEEP IT CLOSE when they ́re playing their shows. The alternative rock band was founded in Landshut (near Munich) in 2017 and since then, these four boys are burning down stage after stage, without any mercy. These Guys live and feel every show, they burst all limits and the audience loves it. This is exactly what is reflected in their audience, which finds itself in a sweaty, powerfull and intoxicating scenario! After playing lots of gigs, KEEP IT CLOSE made it to sold out club gigs and big festivals like the SOUTHSIDE Festival (Germany), Taubertal Festival (Germany) or Bet Lahem Festival (West Bank).

1) You have participated in the Emergenza Festival Edition 2018/2019. What made you decide to take part in it?
Emergenza was the perfect challenge for our competitive mindset and we also wanted to com- pare ourself to other bands.

2) As you approach the world final, what is your state of mind?

We want to win this contest. We are very thankful for being in the world final and it‘s still insane and unreal how far we have come. From here on out there is only one option left: to win the Emer- genza world finals.

3) What is your best memory from your Emergenza experience?

Meeting a lot of other great musicians and expanding our network. The emotional highlights are always the award ceremonies (and the binge after it!!)

4) What's behind your band's name? Any specific meaning?

The band name represents our mindset, which is to always be focused on your goals in every way and every time. We have a very close bond and we put all our energy and time in this project. Wit- hout „keeping it close“, you can ́t put in the amount of effort long term. It‘s our god damn passion!

5) Can you tell us a funny story or anecdote about your experience on stage? And one which happened in backstage or during the preparation of a show?

We had the honor to play at the SOUTHSIDE Festival (thanks to firestone) and while we were playing our biggest and most important gig ever, our in ear and click system failed. The pressure was real, but we didn‘t give a fuck and tore the stage down.

6) How would you describe your music ?

We always play what we feel. It‘s a kinda dirty emo/post grunge sound, but in a modern way. We always say our genre is alternative rock, cause this genre contains a huge amount of different genres.

7) What are your short to medium term plans after the Emergenza's world final?

We are planning the release of some great new stuff, which we‘ve recorded this year and we are also looking forward to playing a lot of gigs. In addition, we are trying to manage the release of an album in 2020.
