You have participated in the Emergenza Festival Edition 2014/2015. What made you decide to take part in it?
We wanted exposure and it seemed like a fun experience to take part in.
As you approach the world final, what is your state of mind?
We’re super excited for the final; we’re really looking foward to playing and visiting the surrounding areas as well.
What is your best memory from your Emergenza experience?
When we knew we were chosen for the final, we couldn’t believe it! It really was a great night at the Métropolis.
What's behind your band's name? Any specific meaning?
Obviously, you can guess we’re a funk band just by looking at our name. We are also politically and socially aware so we like to touch these subjects in our lyrics, and that reflects in our name too.
If you had to choose a famous song that represents your band...which one would it be?
Pis si ô moins from Les Colocs, a famous French-canadian band.
If your band had another name, what would it be?
Dysfunktion, it sounds nice.
Can you tell us a funny story or anecdote about your experience on stage?
Our singer Vincent stripped down on stage on a show we had in Montreal outside of the Emergenza festival. The crowd asked for it, and he really seemed to take pleasure in doing so.
What can audiences expect from one of your live performances?
Groovy music, a tight performance and one hell of a party!
Before you go on stage, do you have a ritual or a good luck charm that goes everywhere with you?
We freak out because someone’s always late for the show.
What is your dream gig?
Play on Mars. Why not?
Do you guys have any hobbies? What do you do when you don’t play?
We are still students so that takes a big part in our lives. When we’re not studying, we drink beer.
If you could invite a band or an artist at your party, dead or alive, who would it be?
James Brown!
What are your short to medium term plans after the international final?
Do more shows and write new songs for the band.
What question did I forget? Can you suggest a question you would want me to ask?
If your band was an animal, what would it be? A Sea Horse.
Why do you think you deserve to win the 2015 Festival edition?
It would promote the culture and the music of the province of Québec.
