An unlikely meeting of four foreigners, THE BIRTHDAY GIRLS is a prime example of Swiss Democracy made manifest in music. The Zurich-based band manages, perhaps through its own naiveté, to combine their disparate musical backgrounds into a unique fusion of rock, pop, funk and soul.

THE BIRTHDAY GIRLS consist of singer and guitarist Thomas Nussbaumer, lead guitarist Ercan Ucan, bassist Will Hignett and drummer Markus Deublein.Their sound can be characterized by punching grooves, outrageous guitars, esoteric lyrics and wild stage antics. Together for about 2 years, the up-and-coming band is known for filling up every crevice of space in a venue with their presence and infectious energy.
