    Valerihana was founded in 2007 to give vent to post-adolescent urgencies in an environment too provincial. With their roots as a punk rock cover band they were soon searching to be more musically adventurous with fast, hard-edged self-compositions. Now in 2010 the original group being J. Black on vocals and brothers Sandro and Pako Russomanno on guitars, is joined by J. Circus on bass and J.Atticus on drums. Children of the 80s and post-earthquake Irpinia, they combine grunge attitude to an alternative sound. Their songs are born from around Europe, including Italy, Poland and Sweden, confirming the international vocation of the band. The different lived realities of the band members make Valerihana alien to its surroundings, but at the same time, strongly linked to its roots. In a context devoid of resources, possibilities and stimulation for a young rock band from Caposele, Valerihana releases its first self-produced EP (Valerihana).

    Valerihana nasce nel 2007 per dare sfogo a bisogni e urgenze post-adolescenziali in un ambiente troppo provinciale. L’esperienza da cover band di ispirazione punk rock lascia ben presto posto alla necessità di esprimersi attraverso composizioni proprie. Così, nel 2010 il nucleo originario composto da J.Black alla voce e dai fratelli Sandro e Pako Russomanno alle chitarre, trova la sua linea definitiva con J.Circus al basso e J.Atticus alla batteria.
    Figli degli anni ’80 e dell’Irpinia post-terremoto, fondono attitudine grunge a sonorità alternative in canzoni che nascono in giro per l’Europa, tra Italia, Polonia e Svezia, confermando la vocazione internazionale della band.
    Le diverse realtà vissute rendono Valerihana estranea all’ambiente circostante, ma allo stesso tempo, fortemente legata alle sue radici . Cosi’ in un contesto privo di mezzi, possibilita’ e stimoli per una giovane rock band, Valerihana libera il proprio istinto con il suo primo ep autoprodotto (Valerihana).
