This duo will introduce their own music show on VK’s stage.


1. When and how was born the band ?
In 2005 we first met, thanks to the dedication and the satisfying strength of listening to music. The following day we started playing together in a dark old dusty garage, but we loved the atmosphere. This would form the foundation for our musical World.

2. Where does you band's name come from?
PHX is the transformed name of Phalanx what used to be another project of us. Phalanx meant, the formation of defence for your companion. But Phalanx had become to small in musical perception and in the discovery of new roads so we went our own way. Thus followed the transformation of Phalanx to PHX. Except for the name, we rarely consider PHX to have anything in common with Phalanx.

3. Can you tell us a shameful anecdote during a show ?
Somebody booked us in restaurant/bar, but that person had clearly misunderstood what kind of Music we would play. It’s not exactly Engelbert Humperdinck. So we had to play for an audience that averaged + 60. Their soups were nicely dancing on the tables.

4. Do you have a ritual before getting on stage, or a mascot that follows you everywhere?
Drink a beer.

5. Which famous song would best represent your band?
50 million year trip (downside up)

6. If you were a music album, which one would it be?
Lateralus by Tool

7. Three words to describe your music.
Psychedelica, Hard, Breathing

8. What are your influences ?
Very broad, ranging from Son House, Black Sabbath to Slayer

9. What is your artistic creation process?
Normally Klaas makes some Music and then we start jamming together to see where we can find common ground.

10. Which details can make the difference with the other bands?
We are a live band pur sang, sweat has to flow like rain.

11. Am I forgetting someting?
Why do you play Music ? To inspire an to be inspired
