    Orpheus was formed by Chris and Joao at the beginning of 2008. In the summer heat in the La Trobe University library the band was formed. Sasha, Milky and Chris' brother Matthew then joined and withing 2 months were ready to start gigging.
    The debut gig meant playing with Bon Jovi opening act Front Counter. Orpheus played a vigorous windmilling and moshpit inspiring set and pulled over 50 people, bringing in the most people that night. Since then gigs have been frequent and more and more fans have joined the ranks to support and enjoy the intricate Melodic Death Metal that is Orpheus!!!

    Influences include: Dark Tranquillity, At the Gates, In Flames, Arch Enemy, Children of Bodom, Testament, Metallica, Scar Symmetry, Opeth
