    Hailing from Moonee Valley, Rainbird consists of members Michael Cooney (guitar, vocals), Tom Cosgriff (drums) Wilson Hede (bass) and Kon Mrnjaus (guitar). The release of Rainbird’s debut EP marks as the years most highly anticipated releases for an independent band in the Moonee Valley region. The band’s self titled EP captures a unique blend of both melodic beauty and spine-bending progressive rock. Although the band is often referenced as a prog rock act, Rainbird’s unique style of music pays compliments to each band members various musical and creative influences. With an eclectic range of tastes that include fury driven metal, psychedelic rock, progressive rock and hard trance, Rainbird’s exclusive sound is conceived thanks to each member’s musical tastes straying away from the mainstream.
