Hard, garage rock four-piece Pro Gen from Sydney are getting psyched up to set the stage on fire at The Lair this Wednesday, October 1st. Catch them alongside seven other killer local bands in round one of Emergenza Festival Australia. To get an idea of the licks Pro Gen lays down, check out songs like “Acid Rain”. That one gives you the feel of their grungy—at times abrasive—garage punk sound, complete with hoarse, top-of-the-lungs vocals and chanting choruses. Or “Fracture”, which starts out unexpectedly with a psychedelic, flanged-out guitar intro, and then jerks into a minimalist, almost spoken verse and then rages into a screaming chorus section.
