The Emergenza Internation festival is the world's largest competition festival entirely dedicated to new unsigned bands. It takes place throughout the globe. In many European cities as well as in North America, Oceania and Asia, including Japan bands of any kind, can partake by playing their own tunes. ""Cover songs"" are tolerated if given an "special touch". It is a musical marathon that encompasses some of the most prestigious international stages. From January to June, the bands participate in a knockout contest, progressing from heat to heat. At the end of each of the concerts, the audience vote for their favorite band of the evening. The performers picked by the public then moves forward to the next stage of the Festival. The goal is to reach the International Final and share the stage with established rock stars. The winners then have the opportunity to go on a fully supported European Tour.
