As soon as you give a listen to the songs of Sydney band Burnside, you instantly understand that every single one of their nearly 9,000 likes on Facebook was well-deserved. Elements of bands like Linkin Park stand out for sure in Burnside’s cross over leanings, but these guys are much deeper than genre restrictions may make them seem. In reality they have a generally well-rounded schooling in all that is melodic hard rock, making their self-description as atmosphere. melody. rock. pretty spot on. Check out “The Last Time” if you’re in the mood to look back nostalgically on an old relationship and then let those feelings blow away in a fury of strings and distorted guitar. Totally heartfelt, emotional sound. Listen to “Lost The Will” if you’re looking for harder riffs mixed with more ethereal effects.
