    On High with KID SIDNEY

The lovely ladies of Kid Sidney are at their peak so far in the festival, recently being voted one of the top bands, but they won’t let it get to their heads before their show at The Espy on the 18th

Since we last talked to the ladies of Kid Sidney, they hit their Emergenza peak, playing an incredible first round show, getting 108 votes, and being declared the number one band of the month on the Emergenza site! Go girls! For those of you out of the loop, Kid Sidney, a seven-piece all girl act, describe themselves as indie, quirky and alternative. Recently, apart from gracing the stage at The Espy, they’ve been spending some time in the studio as well. Their first single “Runaway”, which you can stream on their official website, shows the amount of work they put into their songs, which all have a backbone of natural, unaffected pop melodies, and are embellished with full vocal harmonies and varied instrumentation.

They’ve got several more recorded, which will make their individual debuts, in stages, via the web. They’re particularly looking forward to getting onstage again to perform their original song “Eyes”, which always seems to get their audience going. They go on stage next on the 18th at The Espy in Melbourne, for the semi-finals. Don’t miss your chance to see these girls mix up the competition!
