It’s been the most incredible festival because After 3 days of the nastiest heatwave we witnessed, we’ve finally come to an end and we survived another season…. booze, funk and rock N roll and now the International jury have given the final result....the winning band is…. (drum roll please) NINJA BEATS!!!  all the way from TOKIO  in JAPAN. They walked away with the top price and were crowned world champions…The humblest of all musicians get the top price. ….they shyly accept and they are obviously speechless….a few arigato are mumbled but they are taken by surprise and they are truly moved by this result.  But before we tell you let’s go through it from the start.

Band number 6 e number 5 were IRENE and LOVE CREAM. Band number 4 and 3 were PRAVADA & CASABLANCA DRIVERS respectively. A great effort from both these bands that gave their hearts and souls with their performances.  The best singer was the dude himself, WILLIAM PLAGAKIS from LOVE CREAM and the results were unanimous on this decision. He gets a SENNHEISER wireless microphone set. Best bass player went to the "monster" player called PHILLIPP ENGEL in SCHOKO and he gets a gorgeous FENDER bass from our great sponsors. Best Drummer gets a  Cymbal set from Sabian and it went to the “groove master” DMITRI GUSHCHIN from PRAVADA. The best guitar shredder was the wonderful MOONJOON KIM from LEE YOUN CHAN BAND and he gets the Fender Stratocaster .......and now the last 2 bands: Second place went to GREEN LIGHT DISTRICT from FINLAND and the first went to.....take a deep breath please.........it was obviously NINJA BEATS from JAPAN.

After NICO & VINZ, the Norwegian world topping chart masters that started with Emergenza, another act we hope that’s going to make it big is NINJA BEATS They  walked away with the top price and were crowned world champions. Their performance was simply magic but most of all, original.

Ok, we wanted to let you know that ALL the bands were absolutely magic!!!!! NINJA BEATS, still shocked from the announcement, rushed to the main stage, which is almost as big as the town of Rothenburg itself,  where they kicked the Taubertal Festival punters in the balls with their cultured, groove infected dance beats…as always........I say this every year: If Andy Warhol said everybody has 15 minutes of fame he was wrong in this case, it has been a mad week –end for this incredibly entertaining and talented band…

They made people go nuts…just crazy under the sunny sky. When the giant screen flashed a 50 foot tall beatboxer in a kimono and everybody was looking, we knew that the judges made the right decision.

The jury, which included UK promoters, SONY music Publishers and Music Industry record distributors did a superb job and we thank them for giving us their time and they obviously thanked us for giving them the booze and the bands. Sorry about the heatwave but we could not control that….at least it made you drink more and appreciate the music.

And so another year has gone and many, many gallons of beer have been drank back stage…can we please do it again next year???? Compliments to ALL the wonderful musicians that played……now let's go and party some more…ROCK ON EMERGENZA!!!!!
