Following their first EP, Pawnshop Radio ON, Love Darling (formerly HotLites) are currently in the studio recording the acoustic companion Pawnshop Radio OFF. The band also just shot a video for their next single "U Can Be Perfect" off of their forthcoming EP to be recorded by legendary producer Gordon Raphael (The Strokes, Regina Spektor) as well as lining up dates for live shows in the US and abroad.
The Los Angeles based band formed in late 2008 when the lives of guitarist/vocalist Shay Magro and bassist/keyboardist Mike Wolpe collided in a serendipitous explosion. The details are still a bit fuzzy, but they each recall it had something to do with late night diners, imaginary friends, cobblestone streets, and a love tester machine.
