What do you get when you combine a Kiwi choirboy who spent time growing up in Ireland, a South Australian rhythmic sensation who accompanied outback musicians through the desert, a pioneering Brisbane-born bass player with a natural talent in the control room, and a forty-something from Sydney who has toured nationally and internationally in Australia's favourite ska-punk band?
You get the most refreshingly vibrant and exciting funk rock band brisbane has seen in a long time - Hazaiah.
With such an eclectic mix, it was impossible to think they would be able to gel so naturally and create the wall of sounds, yet they have managed so much more (after only 2 gigs, they were elevated into the top 5 rock bands in Brisbane on www.reverbnation.com.au).
Funk with a rock infusion or rock with a funk infusion? Whichever way you look at it, Hazaiah create music that will make you feel warm inside and make you just want to get up and dance without a worry in the world or care what others think.
