    honing their rhymes since high school, the rx family has gone full band since late 2006; incorporating an edge rarely found with typical funk fusion fodder trademarked by whack rhymers having to hide behind a blues guitar and hack studio musicians to conceal their generic flow.

    in short, rx is three disgustingly talented rappers who can freestyle with the best of them and drop bananas verses, playing with a quartet punk band, with scratching, synthesizer madness and a vindictive sax blaring in the background.

    moreover, rx family is a coalition of ten, good-looking young guys who, with the exception of bassist adam kirby whom they met at college, all grew up together in south austin and have been plotting an inevitable takeover for years.

    the stars are finally aligning and this time next year, sky's the limit.
